Due to the Primary Election and the use of our school facilities as polling locations, Tuesday, September 15, 2026, will be an asynchronous learning day for students across the New Castle County Vocational-Technical School District.

This required calendar adjustment was inadvertently omitted from the district calendar. We apologize for the oversight and any inconvenience this change may cause.

Please note the following expectations for September 15:
Students should not report to school for in-person instruction on September 15 and will instead complete The Drug and Alcohol Course that will be available for students to work on.
Athletics, extracurricular activities, practices, competitions, and other scheduled afternoon activities will continue as usual, unless otherwise communicated by the school.

Thank you for your flexibility and understanding as we make this necessary adjustment. We recognize that changes to the school calendar can create challenges for staff and families, and we appreciate everyone’s cooperation in ensuring that we meet both our instructional responsibilities and our obligation to make our facilities available for the Primary Election.
